Questions about fencing
Is fencing safe for kids? (Safer than badminton)
Yes! Fencing is one of the safest youth sports. Fencers wear extensive protective gear, including masks, jackets, gloves, and chest protectors, and all bouts are supervised by trained coaches. Studies consistently rank fencing among the lowest injury rates compared to soccer, basketball, and other popular youth sports—most fencing “injuries” are minor bruises. At T3, all coaches are Safe Sport certified, and we emphasize proper technique and safety protocols from day one. Our controlled environment allows kids to develop athleticism, discipline, and confidence while minimizing risk.
